Josh Uddin immigrated from Bangladesh in 1987 to pursue higher education and opportunity. He chose to make Johns Creek and District 48 his home after graduating from Georgia State University with a degree in Finance. An entrepreneur and small business owner in Fulton and Gwinnett, Dekalb County, Josh owns and operates successful businesses including his own insurance agency that is focused on providing insurance to small businesses and companies. Josh has offered policy expertise on issues related to consumer protection in the insurance industry and how to make insurance more affordable and accessible for everyone in Georgia including addressing the continually rising costs of health insurance.
Josh has been happily married to his wife Farzana for over 26 years, and raised 2 children who attended Fulton & Gwinnett County Public Schools.
In addition to his work as a small business owner and entrepreneur, Josh has been active in the community, who has over 30 plus years of grass level experience. He was the President Elect of North Gwinnett Rotary Club. He served various non profit organizations including APAC as Executive Secretary, Chairperson of Federation of Bangladeshi American Associations in North America. (insert volunteer/community work), Josh is the President of the Bangladeshi American Association of Georgia and a Board Member with the Bangladeshi American Chamber of Commerce, where he works to promote global trade opportunities for Georgia businesses and advocating for policies that will help create stronger, vibrant communities.
